Left Handed Trem cavity

Here is a detailed photo of the trem cavity. I used a brand new chizel to widen the cavity. No hammer needed, the wood was soft enough to use hand pressure only. Notice the chip in the finish on the right side of the cavity. The finish chips off very easily on this guitar. I lined up the screw holes and this will tell you how much wood to remove so the trem block will fit into the cavity.

Note: the double holes drilled for the 6 trem screws. The Gotoh tremolo bridge does not line up with the holes that were supposedly drilled to Fender specs.

Here is a close up of the Squire™ pickguard with the SRV letters. Note that I have chosen the SRV letters that Stevie used for many years on his pickguard. Many fans find these letters more recognizable over the script letters that were on his guitar at the time of his death.

When applying these letters, you should refer to the CD cover of "The Real Deal: Greatest Hits Vol 2 ".

At first, you'll think the stickers appear too large for the pickguard. Some of the black printed drop shadow on the outer edge of the letters will need to be trimmed off. Scissors will do the trick. This is necessary to butt the stickers up to the pickups, the edge of the pickguard and to get them closer together. Close examination of the CD cover reveals Stevie had to do the same trimming.
